12 Reasons You Should Be Excited That Baseball Is Back In Season

There is almost nothing better than baseball season. Sitting outside in the warm stadium as the sun shines down and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" plays over the speakers, watching your favorite player get a hit and dancing like an idiot to get on the dance cam - I could go on.

Baseball is great for so many reasons, more than can possibly be named, but here are some of my favorites.

1. Hot summer game days.

You can't convince me that there is anything more satisfying than going to a baseball game on a hot day and enjoying the game.

2. Pre-gaming.

Having a few pre-game drinks and tailgating in parking lots is basically a tradition. If you aren't going to the bar outside of the stadium and drinking a beer, *newsflash,* you're doing it wrong.

4. The memories.

When we look back in 20 years, I want to be able to remember all of the laughs and fun that I had at the game, just enjoying the sport and my friends.

3. The AMAZING food.

Ballpark food is THE BEST. I'll fight you on this one. I will win.

5. Special theme nights.

Okay, but "Game of Thrones" night where you can sit on a mock Iron Throne? Please, take my money.

6. Buying new jerseys and hats.

One can never have enough baseball jerseys or team hats. Never. Never. Never.

7. Ballpark giveaways.

The best part is when they give you the shirts and the hats at the door simply for buying a ticket and attending! I'll take my shirt in a large, please and thank you!

8. Hoping for a better record than last year.

*cough cough Orioles fans cough cough*

9. The chance to catch a ball.

While the odds aren't huge, it is every fans dream.

10. Have I mentioned the food yet?

The food is literally unparalleled,

11. No seriously, ballpark food is to die for.

Like, I would actually fight for this.

12. Love for the game.

Baseball is incredible. At the end of the day, after all of the food and giveaways, we all go to the game for the love of the sport We go to cheer on the home team and have a good time.

Some of my favorite memories are of going to baseball games with my friends and family. Baseball has given me memories and photos I will have forever. Baseball will always hold a special place in my heart, no matter how the home team plays this season.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
