Things All Orange Is The New Black Fans Can Relate On
Netflix

For those of you who have not seen "Orange is the New Black," it is a series on Netflix that streams year round with a new season every June. It is a series based in an all woman’s jail and it instantly has you hooked. With its multiple plot twists, some pretty intense scenes, and more drama than the average fourteen-year-old can handle, "Orange is the New Black" is a series that hardly anyone can resist. Here are a few things every "Orange is the New Black" fan can relate on.

1. We miss Bennett and Pornstache.

Our favorite secret love story was torn apart when we haven’t seen either of the two guards for two seasons. Where is Dayanara’s baby? How is Bennet doing? Is Pornstache’s Mom taking care of him? Have they moved on? We need to see these two men again.

2. You make OITNB references without realizing.

You never knew that something so irrelevant could relate to Orange is the New Black, but sure enough almost everything does and when you make a reference you give your friend the "look," until they realize your reference.

3. You secretly wish Red was your Mom.

Watching all four seasons we have seen everything Red has done for her girls. It's easy to say that if you too were in Litchfield you would want Red to have your back. And so you plan out while watching each episode how to find your “Red” if you were ever sent to prison.

4. You’ve contemplated going lesbian for Stella (Ruby Rose).

Admit it, you’re head over heels for Stella. When OITNB first introduced Stella people everywhere instantly fell in love and everyone knows why, she’s gorgeous. Watching each episode, you couldn’t help being a bit jealous of Chapman because she had two hot girls all over her. You also contemplated how hooked on Stella you were (because most likely you were).

5. When you think of a screwdriver you think of Boo.

Holding a screwdriver will never be the same because all you can think about is how Big Boo used it for her guilty pleasures.

6. The theme song is your jam no matter if you love or hate it.

This song symbolizes that a new episode aiding your addiction is about to start and you love it. And you know every word.

7. When someone looks at your significant other you go into “Crazy Eyes” mode.

You know you’ve almost tried to stand your ground, and threatened throwing a pie at anyone who is looking at your significant other in any way that is too friendly. Mark your territory like Susan did, go ahead.

8. You can’t see any of the characters in any other movies or TV shows.

Orange is the new black is basically #1. Any other TV show or movie with anyone from the cast just seems weird to you. Sorry, That 70's Show, Donna who?

9. You can’t decide if Poussey and Taystee are bestfriend goals or if you’re more of a Piper and Vause fan.

We love both set of friends but who is actually the closest? Do you chose close friends or the hottest prison couple to be your favorite?

10. You Binge watch more than you’d like to admit.

Everyone likes to think that they will pace themselves once the season is released but you always just end up watching it within a few days and contemplate your life.

11. You don’t know what to do with your life when the season is over.

You just have to survive until the next season comes out... Slowly waiting...

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
