How To Optimize Senior Week

Making the most of your last week of college.

How To Optimize Senior Week

It’s the last week you have before graduating, might as well spend it with those who love and care for you.

And pass it when appropriate

Have fun celebrating with liquid fuel but be sure to keep enough water in your system too!

How to optimize senior week:

1. Surround yourself with people that make you happy.

2. Know your limit

3. Keep your balance of hydration and buzz

4. Do it again tomorrow…(combination of 2 & 3)

5. Love your friends

6. Make sure you eat

Being drunk feels great. However, being too drunk without any sugar in your system can make you sick. Remember to stay hydrated, sure, but remember to eat too. Eat simple carbs (like fruits and snacks) when you drink. Eat complex carbs, like pasta and bread, before you decide to drink some more!

7. Say things you want to; don’t regret saying anything because it’s the truth and it’s important to say.

8. Cry. Cry a lot. But also, laugh.

Drink enough to keep yourself feeling it, but have enough water prepared to not feel it tomorrow. Drink a whole glass of water before bed, at least, and then refill it and leave it on your nightstand for the inevitable dry mouth.

You may never have thought so as you struggled through that stats final sophomore year, but suddenly, you’ll start thinking about how much you’ll miss college. You’ll see all the things you’ll do for the last time and all the things you never got to do, and you’ll look at the friends you made and just hope that they’ll stay in your life. You’ll get emotional and you may start crying on them and telling them how much you value them. And that’s good. But don’t let that stop you from having a good time.

Real life is starting soon and you don’t know when you’ll be able to enjoy yourself next, so make the most of it and have the time of your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
