To the person who never fails me,

Thank you. Thank you for doing the expected and unexpected. Without you, I would not know who to call at night, or who to complain to. I apologize for dragging you to events that you may not want to attend, but you do it anyway for the happiness of myself. If I didn't have you, I wouldn't strive to be a better me. My ordinary moments would not be fun. if I didn't have you to sing in the car with me, long road trips would be a bore. I can always look to you for the truth, no matter how much it hurts. The truth is never easy to hear but hearing it from your best friend is easier. On my worse days, I know you will be there. When I'm in a bad mood, I know you will always bring my mood up. I know you will tell me when I'm overreacting, and I know you will compliment me when I'm feeling down.

To have a best friend that will always commit their weekend to me is a great feeling. I know that I always have someone to run to sonic with me no matter what time of day it is. I know you will always go on an adventure with me, and will always be open to new things. Thank you for never asking me to explain when something's wrong, and thank you for knowing when something is wrong. It's comforting knowing that I don't have to put on a brave face on for you. No matter how weird I am or how many corny jokes I make, I know you will never judge me. I know that the weirder I get, the weirder you get. No matter where you are, or how far I am, I know you will always be apart of my life. Distance can be hard, but it's a part of life. I know that I can be over 100 miles and you will still be more involved in my life than anyone else. I admire the fact that you never say more than you need when you're angry. I admire the patience you have with me when I create pointless arguments. I applaud you for always being the best you can be. Thank you for being you, the selfless, admirable, adventurous, calm, caring, loving, person you are.

I can only hope that everyone else feels what I do. I hope everyone gets to have a person like you.

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
