Dear ladies,
Where to begin?
First of all, I want to start off by saying how much I love each and every one of you. We're all so different; we come from different backgrounds and have our own stories, but we all share a common bond that no one can take away from us. And for that, I'm forever grateful.
Coming into my freshman year of college, I was excited, but mostly nervous. I knew the journey I was about to embark on could possibly be the best four years of my life, and I wanted people to share that experience with. I've found that in all of you.
Within my sorority, I've found my best friends, my bridesmaids and my confidants. There's always someone there to make you smile, laugh or even cry with you.
We may not always get along, but I don't know any siblings that don't argue. We may not always agree or see eye-to-eye, but we all know that if we ever needed anything, our sisters would be there in a heartbeat to help us.
So to my sisters, I want to say, thank you.
Thank you for making me laugh.
Thank you for making me smile.
Thank you for being there for me when I needed you most.
Thank you for always supporting me in whatever I do.
Thank you for always being down for ice cream, McDonald's, or Taco Bell, even when you're on a diet.
Thank you for being you.
Without you, our sorority wouldn't be where it is today. While it would still be active, the people within it would be different. There would be something missing.
Like a puzzle, we all manage to fit together. No matter our differences, we're able to come together and see the bigger picture. It may take us a while to figure out how to put it together, but when we do, we make something beautiful.
I hope you never feel unwanted, unneeded or unloved. I hope you always know there will be someone to help you pick up the pieces when you're broken because, sister, you're never alone.
With love,
Your sister
