Open Letter To My Wonderful Boyfriend

To my best friend,

A guy that I wasn't expecting to get, but am so happy I did. A guy that makes my day better just by having him around. A guy that can always make me laugh. A guy that makes our relationship so easy, that it almost always feels like an incredible friendship. I would've never dreamed that my first boyfriend would be the guy that I want to stay with forever as well as being my best friend, but it's happened, and I couldn't be more grateful.

To my cutie,

Let's be honest, you are just too handsome for words, inside and out. Even still sometimes, when I look at you, I can't believe how attractive you are. Even though looks definitely aren't everything, you are perfect in my eyes. I've always thought so, and I always will.

To my babe,

Thank you for putting up with my bouts of worry, for listening to my problems without judgement, for cheering me up when I'm sad, for understanding when I cry and comforting me, and for never leaving my side. It still never ceases to amaze me that after almost four years together, we've never had an argument. We talk everything out, we understand and accept each others differences, and I don't believe we could ever stay mad at each other long anyway.

To my boyfriend,

Even though right now you may be my boyfriend, I have no doubt in my mind that one day you would be more than that. At this point, I couldn't imagine being without you or not being able to talk to you. You bring me up, you make me feel loved and beautiful. You're the most perfect boyfriend I could ever ask for, and I couldn't feel more lucky to have you.

You once told me that I'm one of the only people you've ever met that fully gets and understands you, and I know exactly what you mean because I feel the exact same way about you.

I love you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
