First of all, I have to say this is the dumbest thing I've ever had to rant about. Giving children medicine is not something I thought would be an issue in society. But this is America and I guess I should have expected people to rant and rave over everything. But let me just say, your logic in this is flawed. You say "they can be harmful" and "it can cause autism" or, my personal favorite, "it's no one's business but mine." So let's go through this one by one while I school everyone on exactly why you're an idiot.
Number 1: They can be harmful.
I'm not really sure how NOT contracting polio is harmful. I can almost understand someone saying, "Wow. That's a lot of medicine at once." But guess what, children are exposed to germs and bacteria all the time. If that's not harmful neither are vaccines. Oh, by the way, are we forgetting that polio kills people or is that just me? Get your priorities in check.
Number 2: They can cause autism.
If you legitimately believe the guy who was STRIPPED OF HIS MEDICAL LICENSE FOR FALSIFYING DATA, then, by all means, go on with your life. Here’s an article so you can read about this for yourself. If that one study that contained no real evidence does it for you, move to Antarctica without your vaccines and leave us alone. But really. Many children have autism and are fine. It's a neurological disorder, and though I hope no child ever has to live with it, on the 0.00000001% chance that vaccines DO cause autism, I will do everything I can to make sure that my child grows up healthy and happy with autism and not polio.
Number 3: It's no one's business.
Lolololol. Let's logically discuss this. Children have to be a certain age to get certain vaccines to protect their little selves. So, if I have a young child and he's playing at the park with an anti-vaxxer's child, and that anti-vaxxer is carrying the disease, my young child is now exposed. And then my baby gets polio. And then I'm in jail because you harmed my child. Or, let's say I have two children. My older child is at school and comes into contact with someone who hasn't had proper vaccines. My older child is fine because I care about my children and get them properly vaccinated. However, my baby has not received this vaccine yet and contracts polio
There's no reason to bring harm on children. I was vaccinated, and anyone reading this has most likely been vaccinated. And guess what? None of us have polio. Congratulations. We don't have to live through a deadly disease. So why do the same to your child if you can help it? Why put your child at risk?
