i do not know you

but i still love you

not for your face

or your tattoos on your arms

i love the melodies you compose

the music that sings to me

i love how brave you are

how you choose to shine after the storm

how you make lyrics of your story

instead of making a long lecture

i love how you can relate to me

i love how when i feel down

you're right there singing to me

i love how you tell me to be okay

and then also tell me the struggles

i love how you show me i will get better

and i am not alone in this battle

i love you not for how attractive you are

but how much you've saved my life

just through the plug attached to my phone

and music pounding in my head

you do not know me

and i do not know you

but i love you

and i hope if you meet me one day

you will to.
