Dear roomie,
Your freshman year of college sure is an adjustment! I can't say I handled it all too gracefully the majority of the time, but... good news -- we are making it through!
Either way, I'm sorry for all those awkward encounters. I'm sorry for probably being far from sunshiney on those early Monday mornings before my 9 a.m. classes... and probably again late on Saturday nights. I'm sorry for all those times I forgot to leave a light on in the room when you were up late studying in the library, so you could see what you were doing as you got ready for bed when you got back. I'm sorry for asking for the room on too many Thursday nights so that my boyfriend at the time and I could watch movies and eat takeout. And lastly, I'm sorry for all the little mistakes I will probably make in the future. Hey, with experience comes knowledge, right?
In the end, thanks for all the advice you've shared. Thank you for not judging me (out loud, at least) during all those points in the semester when I looked gross, made questionable decisions, and talked to you in my sleep. Not that you had a choice, but thanks for not making me suffer through the trauma of bed bugs alone. Those nasty little things are terrifying to conquer, but we did it! Thanks to your mother for being an interior designer and crafting us a beautifully zen room, and thanks, girl, for putting up with all my bullsh*t. I’m sure it was a challenge, but I hope it was at least an interesting one. Here's to a fresh semester of new experiences and happy memories!
Sincerely,
