What can I say? You have become a second mom to me. You have welcomed me into your family with open arms, and I am so thankful for that. As my boyfriend's mom, I wanted to take the time to thank you.
First off, you rock. As a mother of four (six if you count the pups), you have shown me that us ladies can do anything. You never stop working, but most importantly you never stop loving. Through your loving heart, you shaped my boyfriend into a wonderful man. He loves you, and because of that he is able to love me.
You have molded him into a person who is kind and determined.
You have taught him how to love and help others.
Second off, you are so helpful. You have accepted me and my baggage into your precious family, and I am so thankful for that. Words cannot describe how much your acceptance has meant to me. You have such a wonderful spirit and I am so thankful for our close-knit relationship.
Third off, you're total grandma material and I love that! Babies are very, very far in the future, but thinking you could possibly be my children's grandma one day makes me happy. You are so caring, and I cannot wait to see you chase them around the backyard as they look for Easter eggs some day. And seeing how well you raised your son gives me insight on just how great he will be as a dad some day!
Fourth, thank you for being a role model. Between work and volleyball, you never take a day for yourself. You sacrifice so much for the people you love and I promise it does not go unnoticed. When you get time to yourself, you spend it working on laundry or cleaning the house. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all that you do. Thank you for being a mom who never gives up.
Fifth, you are a rock star. Holy moly, he must have been quite the handful growing up. But from T-ball to knocked out teeth, you never stopped. I have had the privilege of growing up with your family.
From seeing the girls go to middle school dances, to seeing them mature throughout high school, I am so blessed to be a part of your perfect little family. Thank you for teaching your son how to treat a lady. I have never had to open a door for myself, and he has picture-perfect manners wherever we go. Without your rock star mommy skills, our relationship would not be where it is today.
I know these few words do not even come close to explaining how much you mean to me. When I started dating him, I had no idea just how much your family would mean to me, but now I see it as my own. I am so thankful for your stunning grace and kindness, and I am so blessed that the Lord placed your family in my life.
