To the friends I am blessed to consider family –

I came to college not knowing what I was getting myself into. I was completely out of my element in a place that was far from home, full of people I had yet to meet. I had moved a lot before so I hoped that would help me in my transition into this new environment. But, no matter how much previous experience I had, I was still nervous. I hoped and prayed that I would find my people, and now, seven months later, I know I did.

We began as strangers and were brought together by something, and at one point we realized how great we worked together. Whether it was luck or fate, I'm not entirely sure, but what I do know is I can't imagine the next few years without you guys.I am so incredibly grateful that I am able to go through this new chapter in my life with such incredible people by my side. Between the late night talks and the constant contagious laughs, I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to call my family away from my family.

It's mind blowing how you walked into my life such a short while ago and have already made such an impact. You all have changed me into a better person in your own ways. As time goes by, I continue seeing positive growth within myself thanks to you. It's hard to find people who lift you up and have your best intentions at heart in the society we live in, so I feel extremely blessed to have you. College isn't always easy but I'm thankful that I have such an incredible support system, ready to lift me up when I need it.

I want you to know that I will always be here, no matter what happens down the road. You have made my first year at college into something I'll look back on with pride. Pride, because I was able to be someone that such amazing people wanted in their lives. I can't thank you enough for being in my life. I don't think I'll ever be able to fully express how much you mean to me.

The best kind of friendship is that in which you benefit from each other in positive way, according to Aristotle. When I look at us, I see exactly that. I see people who constantly bring positivity and inspire each other to be the best we can be. It's a special bond we share that I hope is never going to be broken.

So thank you for being the amazing people that you are. For the endless laughs, for being the ones I can run to with anything, for making me feel like myself and for being the best friends I could ever ask for.

I love you guys always and I will always be here. No matter what.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
