Dear Sorority,
Thank you for being one of the best things to ever happen to me during my college years. You brought me happiness when being at our school wasn't. The first year of college was a bumpy ride for me as a commuter and not knowing anyone, but my second year brought me to you and I am forever grateful for that.
Thank you for helping me break out of my shell. I'm not as shy and quiet as I used to be (even though I'll always have that trait). Speaking in front of the chapter taught me that it's okay to be nervous and with time, fear of public speaking will become a thing of the past.
Thank you for allowing me to hold a position that has helped me gain leadership skills and responsibility. Coordinating events and philanthropy dates were not easy tasks, but having you all help me made my job so much easier. Thank you for volunteering your time to help with set-ups and break-downs, especially the night of Relay for Life when we stayed up until 3am (boy, were we tired!).
Thank you for all the fun sisterhood/social events and photoshoots. I love looking back on all of our pictures and thinking, "I'm so happy to be a part of this sisterhood." Our formals are always unforgettable nights along with our trips to Skyzone, bowling, and other places.
Thank you for each being individual and unique. It makes our sisterhood that much stronger when we can all incorporate our different opinions and mindsets into something great. Although we are females and it's in our nature to not all get along sometimes, I know that I can count on each and every one of you if I ever needed something. Let us never forget that no one is perfect and not be quick to judge or assume what's going on in each other's lives. Catfights and disagreements are always part of any female friend group, but we're strong enough to overcome them.
Thank you for being my home away from home and for loving me. Each of you are always my favorite smile to see around campus. I'm beyond blessed to be a part of this sisterhood that will last a lifetime.
Love & Loyally,
A proud sister
