Dear future dottie,
I am sure you are enjoying your summer, however I can't help but count down the days until rush! It makes me so excited to know that you will pick Tri Delta just as we have picked you! I hope your rush experience wasn't too crazy, but we can chat about that over lunch sometime. I would like to be the first to say welcome to the family! I can't even tell you how excited I am to have you as my pledge daughter. It is every sorority girl's dream to get the perfect little and my dream came true. You were chosen by our house because of your genuine beauty, both inside and out, and I can't wait to see how you grow throughout your four years here. If there's one thing I can tell you right now, it is to buckle up because you are in for a crazy ride. Welcome to your new, crazy pledge family.
Freshman year can be tough considering the huge change that is college, but I promise to be your "mom away from Mom." I promise to help you pick out the perfect formal dress, to be the shoulder when you need to let out the tears, and the ride for your 3 a.m. Taco Bell cravings. I also promise to embarrass you at your first college party, post silly pictures on your birthday, and to treat you as I would any of my best friends, with sarcastic comments and hugs. I will try my best to always be your best friend and sister, but most importantly, your pledge mom.
The memories we will make together will be endless. We will remember how awkward it was when we first met because if you are my pledge daughter, you are just as weird as me. We will dance our hearts out at formal and most likely ditch our dates to go get pizza. We will raise money for our favorite cause, St. Jude, and help out all the sick kiddos. We will spend some Saturday nights curled up on the couch in social watching sappy movies when the boy you or I liked screwed us over. We will laugh, cry, smile, dance, win, and lose together because that is what families do.
Love,
Your super excited and awkward but totally awesome and cool future pledge mom.
