Hey Little One,

First of all, let me say how much I miss you while I am away at college. I miss fighting, cuddling, eating and shopping together. You know whenever I come home for the weekend it will be a weekend full of midnight snacking, eating at all of our favorite restaurants and catching up on all of the gossip. I'm so lucky to have someone like you while I'm away from home. Someone to text me and FaceTime me whenever I'm bored and need a friend to talk to, or when I need outfit help before a big night out.

No one else quite understands me like you do, and for that I am grateful. You have seen me at my best, as well as when I was going through the lowest of lows. You never fail to make me smile when I need it, or to crack me up with all of your funny stories. You truly are my mini me and I'm so proud to call you my sister. Even though you are much cooler than me, everyone tells me how much we resemble each other. You have a heart of gold, something you obviously got from me.

Thank you for always giving the best advice, recommending the best Netflix shows and actually listening to me while I try to guide you throughout your teen years. Learn from my mistakes - that's why I share them with you. Always know that I have your back if you ever need a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to. I am only a phone call away. Most likely, I have dealt with all of the friend/boy drama you are going through and I would be more than happy to help you out.

You really grew up in the blink of an eye. It feels just like yesterday when you were an innocent little baby. Now, you're about to enter high school and you have so much to look forward to. Knowing you, you will thrive anywhere you go and with anything that you do. You will always be the girl everyone turns to for advice due to your caring personality. Never change for anyone. Stick up for yourself and never let anyone walk all over you. You can conquer the world, and I have no doubt that what's to come for you is nothing short of amazing.

I'm not sure how I got lucky enough for you not to be just to be my sister, but my best friend. Thank you for always being a text or phone call away, and I can't wait to see you when I come home from college for Thanksgiving.
