Dear Best Friends,
Let me start out by saying that this letter is dedicated to you two (you know who you are). Thank you for being the absolute best friends a girl could ever have! I never knew what true friendship was until I met you two and we became friends. So many people out there today don’t understand what the meaning “true best friend” actually means. So many people in today’s society are more concerned with using people and seeing what a friendship has in store for them verses how both people can grow from this relationship. A friendship, just like any relationship, takes two to tango. A lot of girls college aged are more focused on being boy crazy, partying, going to the mall, alcohol, etc. I’ve had my fair share of being in toxic friendships where the other friend only cared about boys or herself and would never make time for me, but the friendship that I have with the two of you is completely different. We all make time to see each other even though our schedules are ridiculous and our lives are so time consuming with other things. We all get along. Yeah, we may get fed up or annoyed with each other from time to time but it never lasts long. We all have the same priorities: school, our jobs, investing time in our sorority, and each other. We never let a boy tear us apart. Unlike a past friendship you two are more concerned with our friendship rather than being boy crazy; we stand by each other and we really exemplify the motto “hoes before bros”. We always have each others’ backs, whether we're sick, having a mental breakdown due to classes, family issues, etc, we never leave each other stranded, especially when we need each other the most. Not only have I learned how to be a great friend to someone, but I learned how to be an even better person because of the two of you. You stand by me through my crazy and awkward life, still acknowledge me when I’m weird, you still love me even when I embarrass you (ex: “My friend thinks your cute”! “My friend is single and she wants your number”.), when I make a total fool of myself out in public, and have survived a whole spring break trip and road trip with me. I could literally pour my heart and soul out into this letter about how much I love you two but than I’d be writing a novel. I just wanted to thank you two for sticking my side through thick and thin. Thank you for loving me for me. I love you two.
