Here are a couple things you need to know:

1. I have great plans for you

2. I'll love you more than you'll ever know.

3. You're going to be 16 & educated, 18 & graduated, 22 & successful

4. I will do my best to make sure that you have your dad and your mom in your life

5. You will say "yes ma'am" and "yes sir"

6. You will have light up sneakers just like I did

7.You'll be raised with a little southern in you because that is how I was and I loved it

8. When you're in trouble I'll take your chargers as punishment instead of grounding you so when the battery dies there is no turning it back on

10. Your first phone will be a flip phone no matter what anyone else has, I had to deal with it and now so will you

11. You'll be spoiled but you won't be complete brats

12. You will go to a public school

13. Our house will be an open house, your friends are allowed over, just tell me first

14. You will respect everyone (police, teachers, etc..)

15. I will do everything in my power to make sure you get what you've always wanted

16. Don't ever think you can't tell me something, I am always here for you

17. I'll want you to play sports because I did and they brought me and my dad closer together

18. I will make you sit at the table with me and read the comics on saturday morning as I read the newspaper

19. I've always wanted a dog and never got one so we can have any animal you want (Cat, Dog, Bird, etc.)

20. I'll always be there for you even if I'm mad, just know I will always make time for you.

21. To my son: You will protect your little sister, there is no way around it

22. To my son: You will be raised to be just like your father, a gentleman

23. To my daughter: your father and brother(s) will attempt to intimidate the guys you bring home, it's okay...it's their job.

24. To my daughter: Talk to me, most likely, I've been through what you're going through

25. To my daughter: Don't be like your mother and think about the what if's, if you want it, go for it

26. If you're afraid to tell dad, tell me, I'll tell your father.

27. To my son: your father will probably want to teach you how to build things and all that other boy stuff, let him... it's important to him that you do

28. To my daughter: You will cook and bake with me

29. We will have weekly family days, you may hate it, but trust me you'll thank me later

30. I'll be upset when you leave for college and when you move out

31. We're your parents, we'll never let you go

But just remember that I am your mother and I can't wait to meet you. I love you. I'm doing my best to make sure you have the best childhood so give me a break if I can't do it all. I'll always be here for you guys no matter what. Whether you know it or not you're the most important to me and I've been looking forward to you all my life.

But for now I guess I'll just have to wait until the day you grace your dad and I with your presence.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
