Dear Class of 2016,

Well, this is it guys. We're back from spring break and this is the final stretch. We have t-minus seven weeks of college left. It doesn't matter if you're going to grad school or looking for a job, your undergraduate career is coming to a close, and it's hard not to get nostalgic during these final weeks.

Nostalgia is perfectly fine, but don't let the overwhelming feelings and reminiscing keep you from enjoying this time. Like Dr. Seuss said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

It's okay to be sad. I'll admit right now that I cried the night before I came back from spring break because I realized the next day would be my final drive back to college as a student.

But you could be sad and spend all your time overwhelmed and dwelling on the past. Or you could live in the moment and use these next few weeks to make even more memories with your best friends. I suggest the latter.

Your life is going to figure itself out, and if you don't know what you're doing by graduation, don't stress out too much. Graduation isn't an expiration date. It's not the end, it's just the beginning. Still work hard, finish strong and make plans, but don't fret if those plans change from what you originally expected.

This is the last time you'll be afforded some of the unique opportunities that college presents you with. Go out on a Tuesday night. Attend that retreat you've been talking about since freshman year. Actually go to campus events, especially senior week.

They may seem silly, but when will you have (for the most part) free/inexpensive events in a walking distance for you and all your friends. Take advantage of these moments! There will be plenty of time for simply hanging out,so test your skills at different games during spring fest, go to that lacrosse game and check out that comedian coming to campus.

I know you have a million emotions swirling in your heart and brain because I'm experiencing them too. Whatever you're feeling at the moment is okay, even if you're ready to get out of here. Some of us are, some of us aren't. But like I said, graduation isn't the end and it doesn't mean we have to lose each other.

Lastly, be so proud of yourself. Think of the person you were four short years ago, and think of the person you are now. Granted we've all had our fair share of ups and downs. But you did it. You're here. And I can't wait to see where you go now. Enjoy the moment and make the most of the time you have left. Good luck to my friends and peers. I love you guys.

Dear Class of 2017,

You've almost survived the craziness that comes with junior year. Internship applications, rigorous academics and 21st birthdays seem like they never end, but you're almost there!

Let me be the first of many to tell you how quickly the next year will fly by. Before you know it, you'll be in my shoes. You, class of 2017, have been by our side for most of our college career. A lot of us have grown close between classes, extracurriculars and various weekend activities. It's been a fantastic time so far.

While a lot of us will lose touch because of the difference between the college bubble and reality, I'm looking forward to alumni weekends. A lot of friendships will be changing because of graduation, but I sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your senior year. Enjoy it. Make time for meals with friends each week. Go out and make sure you have fun.

I won't lie, senior year is not a breeze. Classes are difficult, people have internships, some are applying for grad school and others are looking for jobs. It will seem like you never see anybody because of everybody's hectic schedules, which is why it is so important to make plans and follow through on them. Make the most of it, because if I could go back to the first day of senior year and take it all in instead of being so stressed all the time, I would.

PS: Read class of 2016 section, please, and live by that all year.

Dear Class of 2018,

You're about to be juniors. Just like junior year of high school, I think junior year of college is the toughest. You're going to be challenged in your academic program like never before. A lot of you will take on heavier course loads to make senior year easier. Make sure you study and work hard so you are in a good place by senior year.

Junior year has a lot of social challenges too. It's such an awkward year with some people moving off-campus and throwing parties while other people are transitioning to the bars. Depending on when your birthday is as well as all of your friends' birthdays, your social group may experience a shift in its dynamics. Social groups are affected by where people live and whether they can go to the bar or not. I didn't expect it going into my junior year, and socializing was way different when everybody started turning 21. Luckily, I was with the group that turned 21 earlier in the year, but that came with it's own challenges too.

Balancing a new kind of freedom with a lot of credits was definitely a challenge. Embrace legality but still remember you're in college to get a degree. Don't neglect your work for that Tuesday night special. Work hard and then celebrate.

Dear Class of 2019,

I remember moving out of my dorm after my first year--I cried leaving that place with all the memories and new friends I made.

Each year after your first will somehow go faster than the last. Please make the most of it. Please study hard. Please be safe and smart. Please go to events. Please take pictures (Yeah, even you boys who complain about it). Please be open to new opportunities and put yourself out there.

Get involved. Make a difference. Be present in each moment instead of connected to social media when you're hanging out with your friends. Be honest with how you feel and avoid having regrets. Make meaningful relationships and take risks.

College is what you make of it, so make sure you make the most of it. In a few years you'll truly understand the sentiment "Time flies when you're having fun."

Dear Class of 2020,

You have absolutely no idea the journey ahead of you. I guarantee you that college will be full of some of the best and worst times of your life. It's a lot of fun, but at times it's super difficult.

These next four years will be the only time in your life when you live in a community of people all your age. You'll be presented with opportunities you won't get in the real world. You'll be challenged in various aspects of your life, but it's so worth it.

I know it's scary and you're also probably feeling a million emotions as you transition to this new lifestyle. The first few weeks will be super important. It's okay to be nervous and anxious, but remember that everyone around you is in the same position. Most people went away alone. None of you know each other and you all want friends. Trust me you'll make friends, some of which you'll be friends with forever and others you'll grow apart from.

You will grow and change in college but embrace it. It's what college is far. Work hard and have fun. I'm jealous you are just starting this journey, while I'm finishing it. Each journey is different, but I hope you make the most of it. These will be some of the best years of your life and you'll make some of the best friends of your life as well. It goes quick, trust me.

I'll leave you with a quote I heard at first-year convocation:

Stay that close, grow even closer. Dance at one another’s weddings, stand as godparents for each other’s kids. As a Jesuit friend of mine is fond of saying, “the conversation will get richer and the jokes will get funnier.” The conversation among Scranton friends will be a consolation for you down all the days ahead. Don’t waste love.”- Rev. Scott Pilarz
It doesn't matter what college you attend or what year you are, this quote is true. I struggled to understand that quote when I was a first year student, but four years later, I finally get it. And so will you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
