I want to start off by saying thank you to all Chipotle employees. You are constantly swamped with hungry, irritable guests and always have a line out the door, but you but never fail to make my day. Your job is probably extremely stressful and you get absolutely no credit for crafting those wonderful burritos and burrito bowls. Not to mention you probably now hate Halloween.
I know that I get extremely stressed out with each visit to Chipotle but can't help but going at least once every two weeks. While I get the same order every time, the process is still something I stress out over. While the line is long, it moves rather quickly and that is fine by me. It’s a popular place and you can only craft such a beautiful meal so quickly.
Once it's my turn to start this somewhat stressful process, I'm filled with emotion. It starts off great. I can see my wonderful little bowl begin to pile up. Then it escapes me. I get a little panicked, not being able to see my masterpiece and distinguish it from all the others. I feel miles away from the employees asking me what else I would like to top off my already overflowing burrito bowl.
Here's where I panic. Do you want me to tell you everything I want upfront? Do you want me to go item by item? When exactly does that sly little trade off happen where someone else puts on those final ingredients? Should I say them again? What to do you want from me?
Regardless of my ignorance you still are so patient, even if you do give me some weird looks. I don't blame you.
After that course of anxiety is over, another stressor comes up: paying. While yes, giving someone a debit card is not a difficult process, figuring out which is mine is slightly nerve-wracking. Nevertheless, you somehow always seem to get my order right.
Not to mention that now you have really gone above and beyond: you deliver. My question to you is, how do you do all of this so successfully? I should also thank you in advance for catering to my laziness, since I know I will be ordering delivery in the near future (considering I live across the street from you).
So Chipotle, thank you for always meeting my expectations. You never fail to disappoint and even if the line is out the door, I will wait it out for you.
