Through the years, we've grown up, changed in every way possible, and had to many heart breaks to count. Our friends came and went, but you didn't. Since day one, we clicked. I was so excited for the lake trips with you, weekend sleepovers, and the secrets that kept us close.
You are one of the only friend I graduated with who was with me since elementary school. As most of my friends in middle school got new friends, worked toward getting in with the "it" group, and pushed me to the side for staying true to myself, you never left me. You accepted that and stayed with me through the years when I was walked on, used, and talked about, for wanting the same friends I had in elementary years.
It took me so many years to figure out that girls are really mean and they push you aside when you have nothing to give them. You were different. We spent the weekends together, laughed and sang in the garage for hours. Our parents are friends so it makes dinner with family ten times better.
I'm so glad we made it through all these years together, and without you, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. You've helped me grow into the person I am, and I can honestly say that one day I hope to be half the person that you are.
Now that we're in college, I was worried we would grow apart, but like all my other predictions, you've showed me to be wrong. We still talk more than twice a day easy with us being almost 2 hours from each other. You're finally happy with a guy who isn't treating you awful, and I love him already. However, no guy will ever my enough for you. You are so pure and kind-hearted and no one will ever match up to what you truly deserve in a man. I know when you read this you'll say the same thing to me, but when you find someone who treats you like this new boy of yours does, you'll know how well I've been treated and have been trying to get you to understand for months.
To end this love letter to my best friend, I want you to know a couple things:
1. You are worth every single thing that life throws at you
2. Insecure is just a word, you're so much more beautiful than that.
3. No matter what hardship you face, read God's word, and you'll find comfort in Him.
4. I'll always be here for you, no matter what
5. I love you
