Let me just start out by telling you that you picked the best person to be your girlfriend. She's funny, smart and beautiful. You will never have a dull moment with this girl! Now that I've got that out of the way, I can get into the stuff that you really need to know, the important stuff. The stuff that determines if I am your best friend or your worst nightmare. Ready?
My baby sister is my best friend. She may be nine years younger than I am, but we are super close. She is the funniest person I have ever met. She never misses a chance to make someone laugh. Despite her upbeat personality, underneath, she is very sensitive and can be hurt very easily. So choose your words carefully. Don't yell at her, she doesn't like that at all. Don't call her names, she will find something way worse to call you. Most of all, don't deliberately hurt her feelings, or I will deliberately hurt you back!
Treat her like the princess she is. She is an amazing human and she deserves to be treated as such. Now I'm not saying go out and blow $500 on her! Treat her to a nice dinner sometimes, take her to the movies, or take her shopping. My sister deserves the best and she deserves to be treated like she is the most priceless thing in the world, just like every other girl should be treated
Be an attentive boyfriend. I can not stress this enough. Know what's going on in your relationship. Talk to her, ask her how she's doing. If you see something bothering her, find out what it is and help her get through it. Be her shoulder to cry on, because trust me, she can cry at the drop of a hat. Never go a day without telling her how you feel about her, because you never know when she could be taken away from you. Be her best friend.
Don't cheat on her. I swear if I ever find out you have, I will turn into the Wicked Witch of the West faster than you can say "I'm sorry." That's all I have to say on that matter.
Love her unconditionally. She's human and she will make mistakes. Don't make her feel less than a person for doing that. Tell her everything is going to be okay and that you love her no matter what.
Most of all, be the boyfriend that she deserves. Be the man I know you can be. She deserves the best and I know you can be that person for her.
I want to end this by saying that I have faith in you. I believe you can be the best person for my baby sister. Prove me right. I don't want to have to be the one to hurt you for hurting her. Be the man you are supposed to be, and I know you can do great things in your relationship.
