Dear mini me,
I know things seem hard now, but trust me when I say it will all get better. There will be times in the future where you may feel like everything is getting worse but I promise there's a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to remember that. Keep pushing no matter what. Your family will always be there for you and you need to stick around for them. Never lose sight of what it is that makes you happy. But at the same time, you have to create your own happiness. You cannot count on any boy to make you happy. Do not let all of your happiness come from one person. That is a sure fire way to fall harder than you ever have before. At the same time, know that friendships you have made so far will not last forever. Everyone changes, especially once you hit high school and college which will make these relationships hard to maintain. But that doesn't mean you will be alone. You will meet many amazing people in the future they will be there for you when you need it most.
Now, high school is going to be hard. Mentally, not academically, but just like you have in the past, you will push through it. Even on your darkest days remember that there are so many great things ahead of you. After those four hellish years in high school you will make it into a school that you love where you will make something of yourself. You will finally be able to study what actually interests you and still pursue your art career. You don't have to give up one for the other. Just remember that you have to be happy with yourself. Don't try to keep up with what everyone’s expectations of what's “hot”. There is no need to fit into a mold that you physically and mentally cannot fit into. You are beautiful just the way you are and anyone who tells you different isn't worth a minute of your time. Trying to push yourself into what everyone else is doing will just make you lose yourself. It will not make you any happier. I promise you that. And be kind to yourself. You're only given one body and you can't exchange it. So treat yourself well.
Oh and no matter what mom and dad say, just know it's for the best. Trust me. You do not need snakebite piercings. You will heavily regret that if you do it in the future. (But don't worry, we will get our tattoos and piercings eventually. Just… Better ones).
Stay cool
Love,
Me
