Once You Get Over Someone You Thought You Could Never Live Without

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, it will be subtle at first. Six days after his birthday you will realize that you forgot and it will shock you that your mind has moved on faster than you expected. You are finally free of someone you thought that you could never breathe without. Well guess what, you are breathing.

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, you will feel a sense of relief. You can now wake up in the morning and make one coffee instead of two, hoping he shows up at your door. You can now go to bed without wondering if he will ever sleep next to you again. You will find that it is so much easier to live in the moment than to hold onto a past that is never coming back.

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, you will begin to focus on yourself. Maybe you will cut your hair or move to a new city. Now you have extra time to spend at work and earn that promotion you have been desiring. You have time to take weekend trips to the beach and the mountains. You have time to remember who you were before he came along and you will realize, that person is pretty great.

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, you will start to see other people in a whole new light. That guy from work who always brought you coffee is actually kind of cute, and obviously has a thing for you if he remembers your order. You will start to pay more attention to your friends and family, and be there for them when they need you. Because, they were there when you needed them. You will realize that you put your ex on this pedestal when really he was nothing special. There are so many people in the world who can make you smile brighter and laugh louder than he ever did.

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, your life will seem to fall into place. I know that it was hard during those weeks or months of crying and hoping and regretting, but look at how far you have come. You clicked this article because you are over him. I mean, that is a big step in itself. You might still think of him time to time, and if you have the unfortunate pleasure of seeing him in public your heart might drop into your stomach, but that's okay. Think of the way it feels to wake up every morning and think of someone other than him. Think of how empowering it is that he no longer has control over you and your emotions. You are so much better now that he is gone.

Once you get over someone you thought you could never live without, you will find who you were before he came along and realize you never needed him in the first place.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
