"Game of Thrones" season 6 is finally here! I’ve already stocked up on my box of tissues after the shocking finale of season 5. This television series adaptation of George R. R. Martin's “A Song of Ice and Fire” fantasy novel series has been nothing short of amazing. Interwoven in the plot lines is the civil war among noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. This series has explored various themes since its inception, including finding its play on language, with the creation of the Dothraki and Valyrian vocabulary. The Los Angeles Times has described this show as “Breathtaking, heartbreaking, awe-inspiring and addictive,” going on to say that “it remains the single most remarkable feat of television, possibly ever, increasingly admirable for its ability to grow rather than simply sustain."

Since its premiere in 2011, "Game of Thrones" has provoked strong reactions from fans with various episodes. I for one have been left open-mouthed, in tears, in utter disbelief, and completely in shock at some of their OMG moments. This fantasy drama has played with my emotions for the past 5 seasons, and with the premiere of season 6 this past Sunday, I had to go back and relive some of the crazy, OMG moments of seasons 1 through 5.

Season 1 Finale, "Fire and Blood"

Daenerys Targaryen walks through fire.

We can all agree by now that Daenerys Targaryen is a bit of a badass, but you have to admit that when she walked into the flames of her dead husband's funeral pyre holding onto the dragon eggs, it was an epic moment. Not only did my mouth drop when she walked into the flames, but when she walks out unscathed, as the "Mother of Dragons," it's definitely a scene to remember.

Season 2 Episode 10, "Valar Morghulis"

An army of White Walkers surrounds the Fist of the First Men.

The White Walkers surrounding the Fist of the First Men. The movement of these figures numbering several hundred through the snow was a sight to remember. Not only did this scene pronounce trouble, but it opened up a whole different plot scene to look forward to.

Season 3 Episode 9, "The Rains of Castamere"

The death of Robb Stark.

This was the episode that had me grabbing for my tissues. In the moment when Catelyn realizes that they've been betrayed and tries to warn Robb, we already knew it was game over. Robb is shot by crossbows, and the massacre of his banner-men begins. Robb is stabbed in the heart and Catelyn's throat is cut. This episode proved to be shocking and emotional for fans.

Season 4 Finale, "The Children"

Tyrion kills Tywin.

We all witnessed the abuse Tyrion had to put up with from his father, Tywin. Tyrion finally had enough after finding the woman he loved, Shae, in his father's bed. Why was Tyrion killing Tywin an OMG moment? Well, we simply didn't think he had the courage to do it, and killing him while he was sitting on the toilet was an added shock bonus.

Season 5 Finale, "Mother's Mercy"

Jon Snow "dies."

The shocker of all shockers. Nothing has ever made me yell "NO!" at my television, except for this scene. This finale was definitely gut-wrenching, leaving fans stunned, and with a whole lot of questions. The reactions from fans alone makes this the ultimate OMG moment of "Game of Thrones."

Season 6 has just begun, and all I can say is "Winter is coming."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
