"Game of Thrones" has captivated the world with its uncanny ways of pulling in each viewer. More often than not, as I start conversations with people and get to know them, Game of Thrones comes up one way or another. If you do watch this amazing series, you already know what enticing mystery I am talking about. With every episode, there are new twists and turns that the writers incorporate into the episode that pulls us in even more than before. Every character holds a purpose as we grow fonder of them as their trifles and triumphs become prominent. "Game of Thrones" is the ultimate medieval fantasy. Kings, Queens, Lords, and even dragons reek havoc on the screen as this show keeps us coming back week after week.
Not too long ago, I was trolling the internet (as per usual) skimming headlines. I came across an article referencing why you should not watch "Game of Thrones." As an avid viewer, believer and Jon-Snow-obsessed-twenty-one-year-old, I could not bear to open the link. I did, however, curse out loud saying, “How could someone think such a thing?!” "Game of Thrones" is a pretty big deal in my house, and among all of my friends, as well. We anticipate Sunday nights and impatiently wait for HBOGo to release the newest episode.
Besides what I think is the obvious, every person should at least give "Game of Thrones" a chance. When I say everyone, I mean every one who is mature enough to handle the nudity, sex, blood, gore, and everything else relatively repulsive and a tad nauseating. The gut wrenching battle scenes and rather raunchy sex scenes will always sneak up on viewers.
The amount of nerd that I am about to release is incredible, but if you are someone who has not fully attached yourself to the TV series, I need to say this so you understand the credibility it has.
I have been watching this show since the beginning. Although I tuned in a bit late, that never stopped me from going all the way back to the beginning. The Red Wedding was my first peak into the realm of "Game of Thrones", and to any viewer, we know how traumatic that episode was for everyone. See, "Game of Thrones" has this strange way of creating extreme hope and hate for characters. We have hope for the good guys, we hope they make it out alive and conquer their enemies. Like when Jon Snow defeated the Bolton's army. As for the characters we hate, we are constantly hoping that someone will come along and give them a taste of their own medicine. Like Ramsey Bolton getting eaten by his cute but rather terrifying dogs. Seriously, how good was that last episode?????
"Game of Thrones" is a intense medieval show with a ton of boobs and power-hungry people, but that is just all a part of the show. It is also apart of an obscene story line that constantly makes you come back for more.
