Growing up, when I was single around the holidays I didn't like that I was single, and even now, there are times where I wish I wasn't single during the holidays if I'm being honest. It is hard being single sometimes especially when you see couples everywhere and you wish that would happen to you. But I remind myself that being single as a Pringle during this holiday season is okay. I don't have to be in a relationship with someone to enjoy the holiday season. The holidays are time to spend with family and friends. The holidays are a time to have fun and appreciate life and the things in it.

The good thing is, that I'm not alone this holiday season. If you are reading this, and you're single right now, I just want to tell you that you are not alone. There are some good things about being single during the holidays.

Firstly, you don't have to split time between your significant other's family and yours. You don't have the stress that comes with figuring out which house you are going to for Thanksgiving, or have to plan to attend three different Christmas'. You only have to worry about yourself, and what you plan on doing during the season. Secondly, you don't have to worry about impressing your significant other's family, and you don't have to worry about introducing your significant other to your family. And lastly, you don't have to travel anywhere if you don't want to.

Secondly, you have more freedom when you are single than when you are in a relationship. You don't have to talk with your significant other and make decisions together. When you're single, you are the only one that can decide what you want to do for the season. You can make any kinds of cookies at two in the morning, or you can rewatch the same Christmas movie over and over again until your heart's content (I'm guilty of rewatching the same Christmas movies over and over again). If you don't want to go somewhere for the holidays, you don't have to. Or if you attend a party/event, you can leave whenever you want. You can take advantage of this time to do whatever you want.

And lastly, the fewer presents you will have to buy which will save you a lot of money. You won't have to worry about buying something for your significant other and his family. You don't have to go through the stress of figuring out what everyone wants, and making sure no one gets left out.

So, even though single during the holidays can be tough, there are some benefits of being single during the holidays just like there are benefits to being in a relationship. If you are single as a pringle this holiday season like I am, remember you are not alone, and you don't have to be in a relationship to have fun this holiday season.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
