Oh Hillary, you didn’t do anything wrong. Everyone has put the government in a compromised position at one point in their life? Right? No?

Presidential candidates are practically required to do something completely against the law and shady before they run for office! I’m amazed at your creativity in using a platform as simple as email to get your name added to a list of possible breaches in national security. Not one, but more than one-hundred emails discussing top secret information. So impressive, you sure are showing Americans what kind of work you plan to do if you make it to the Oval Office!

I hear it’s pretty difficult to bribe an FBI officer, but somehow you’ve got the head of the FBI under your thumb. WOW. SO AMAZING. I don’t know how you’ve become so successful, but I’ll bet you have been an inspiration to young women everywhere! Not only do you teach life lessons such as honesty and integrity, but you show women that going back on your word or lying to get ahead is perfectly acceptable!

Gosh, I don't know how you managed to do it, but people have been convicted for much less then jeopardizing our National Security. You should teach a class on how to be a corrupt politician and still manage to keep yourself out of a prison cell. I would certainly take it! (If you get hit in the head with a spit ball, it probably was me) I can’t wait to see how your life pans out Mrs. Clinton… but rest assured that Karma is a thing.

This nation was built on the foundation that WE THE PEOPLE decide what happens in our county and I think it’s high time we act. How can we sleep at night knowing that people like this are in our government? When did this democracy become something that Americans expect to be corrupt? Are we seriously just going to lie down and take it? If that’s the case then why did we even what independence from crown, we might as well just go back and have one monarch. It might as well be Hillary; she already acts like a tyrant who’s above the law.

Here’s what I’m suggesting: Let’s take back America.

I’m not talking about going back to how it was at the beginning because we’ve come way too far for that. Let’s have people in office that we can trust, that will do the best they can for the people. Let’s have candidates that are actually down to Earth, people that were our neighbors, our friends, or our family. Not these entitled elitists that sit at the top of their tower and make decisions that they assume are the best for the people on the ground.

Let’s quit talking about minority and majority, we keep saying we want everyone to be equal but we keep on counting people of every ethnicity, religion, origin and sexual orientation. What if we stopped counting and just had people? People to vote, people that go to school, people that have opportunities, people that want to enact change in the world. Why can't we all just be Americans?

And while we’re at it lets all quit acting like we have no say in the government. If enough people cared about the state of our country enough to say something, to do something, then we could make them change their ways. Ya’ll, we out-number the government. They kind of have to listen when millions of people are talking.

As we come off of the patriotic high that is Independence Day, I hope we as a nation can reflect on what we want to see in the upcoming years for our country. For us, for our children, and for our children’s children. Let’s make this county something we can be proud of again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
