Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean you should stop working towards that perfect bikini body.
Just because fall and winter cause you to bundle up in sweaters and jackets, it doesn’t mean you should stop going to the gym. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important year round, and working out plays an essential part in staying fit, along with eating well and getting a good amount of sleep every night. To help you stay motivated, I’ve compiled a list of fun and upbeat songs to help you get energized when exercising. These seven songs will keep your adrenaline pumping and get the endorphins flowing.
1. “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift. Although Taylor Swift may not be for
everyone, this song is great for working out. The fast paced beat and fun
lyrics will cause you to run in sync with the music, and may even cause some
dancing. Be careful not to fall off the treadmill!
2. “Anaconda” by Nicki Minaj. This modern remake of the original song, “Baby Got Back,” by Sir Mix-A-Lot quickly made it’s way to the top 10 on iTunes.
The lyrics will motivate you to want to have a good backside, so I recommend
doing squats while listening to this entertaining song.
3. “Summer” by Calvin Harris. The season may be over, but this song
certainly is not. The tempo will make you want to keep moving, and the lyrics
will bring back memories of summer, which will remind you why you wanted to
workout in the first place. You never know when you’ll need to get back in a
bathing suit --hot tub in the winter, anyone?
4. “Body Ache” by Britney Spears. By the time this song is over, your body
probably will be aching. Britney Spears never fails to produce fun and
energetic songs, and this one is perfect for the gym. Blast this in your
headphones while running or lifting weights and, I assure you, your workout will be great.
5. “Black Skinhead” by Kanye West. When your energy starts decreasing in the
middle of your workout, play this song. Both the music and lyrics are sure to
pump you back up and help you get back on your grind. Warning: this song
contains explicit language.
6. “***Flawless” by Beyoncé. Want to look just as flawless as Beyonce
when you’re done with your workout? Then play this song and crank out the
crunches. Queen B is sure to inspire you with her music, and if you need even
more encouragement to keep going, watch one of her music videos.
7. “Rockstar 101” by Rihanna. Any song by Rihanna could most likely be
added to your workout playlist, but this one is especially motivating. Sing
along with Rihanna, remind yourself that you are a rock star, and
finish that workout!
