November Is The Month Of Multiplication

Jesus became our example when he gave thanks for the few resources that he had. The moment that he honored God, the resources multiplied, and he was able to feed thousands of people.

November Is The Month Of Multiplication

Everyone knows and is excited that we are about to celebrate two of the most favorite holidays of the year, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It isn't a secret that November is essential in the United States because of the Thanksgiving holiday, a day that is dedicated to giving thanks. You might ask, why is it then... that November is the month of abundance? The reason why God put this in my heart is because it is tied to this scripture:

"Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And He divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied."
Luke 9:41-42

Jesus was the example of giving thanks but for a specific reason. Why did he give thanks? He understood that giving thanks to God was the key for God to multiply our resources. There are two important things that I learned in this scripture:

  1. Even when the resources are few, it isn't about complaining about what we don't have, but giving thanks of what we do have.
  2. When we give thanks for what we have, God can come and bless us with more, because he knows that we will accept it with open hands and not reject it.

Around this time of season, the Lord brings me back to the most challenging days of my life throughout the year. I understand that the hardest thing sometimes is giving thanks in the worst circumstances. It is difficult to thank God if you just got fired from your job, or if you just lost your business, or even a family member. There are people that no matter how they push forward, nothing seems to ever go good for them. But this is why this scripture is so important for us to comprehend. Jesus could've complained and figured out humanistic ways to be able to feed the multitudes. Instead, he just gave God thanks, and immediately, the food multiplied.

We must give God thanks in every circumstance, because he never puts us in a hole that we cannot comprehend. He always lifts us up and takes care of us. When we receive bad news, he is the counselor, and the one that continues to fight our battle! When we are in victory, he is the one that rejoices with us, and the one that fights to keep us ascending to a greater level of glory!

What am I feeling? I am feeling and believing for God to do a mighty and powerful thing in our finances, and for him to take us into a season of abundance. The season of lack is about to close, and God is going to give a new direction for this upcoming season! Let's not put to focus the hardships that we have faced. I, myself, have experienced family members pass away before their time in my walk with God. I have experienced what it is like to be without a job and have to fight my way to find one. There are a thousand battles that I have overcome, and although I cried and pushed my way through them, it is these circumstances that have made me who I am today. For that, I am extremely grateful for them. God has used these circumstances to mold my faith, build my character, and strengthen me in every area.

If you believe that word, take it for yourself! Many of you can relate to this, because that is my testimony, and what I went through. Maybe you are going through hell, but the moment that you give thanks to God, he will open the heavens for your life and bring abundance!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
