Before I left for college, I was warned that I would eat so much food and gain the weight from eating too much. Matter of fact, they were right about half of that statement. I do eat a lot. On a normal day, I will eat maybe two plates of food three times. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The funny thing is- I haven't gained much weight, AT ALL.
If you are familiar with Liberty University, you will know that there is a lot of construction going on and there are a ton of stairs. I like to tell my roommate that the stairs by my dormitory are the stairs of death. So, whenever she asks where I am at, I tell her, "Oh, I am climbing the stairs of death now" and she automatically knows what I am talking about.
I have only been here for two weeks and I know for a fact that I have built so much thigh muscle from walking around on campus and climbing the stairs. Again, if you are attending Liberty, there is a staircase beside the Freedom tower that is far worse than death, itself. My roommate and I try to stay away from climbing up those stairs. Going down the Freedom tower steps is not so bad.
Last week, we started walking to the gym because Liberty students have free access to the gym on campus. I try to sign up for a nightly dance class that will help tone my body. If you know what I look like, you know that I do not need to lose weight. Liberty's gym has lots of gym equipment that you can use to build arm, calf, and shoulder muscle.
I like using the bike to help tone my legs so I won't have to worry about my legs and feet giving out when I have to use the stairs of death on the way to class. Thankfully, there is a bridge from the Hill to the third floor of Demoss Hall. I promise I am not lazy, but when you do not feel like using the stairs, the bridge is like going to Heaven. Also, I have only rode on the transit bus twice so far because everything at Liberty is walking distance. I like walking, so for those who ride the bus, if you see a girl that looks homeless, it most likely is me coming or going to the gym.
When I say the freshmen 15 does not exist on the beautiful campus of Liberty, please believe me. If you are an active person at Liberty, feel free to eat all you want. You WILL burn calories. You WILL NOT gain the weight from the tremendous food that Liberty provides. And if you have gained weight, you must not be going to class.
