Not All Democrats

As someone who is a proud democrat, I thought I should voice my opinion on some matters.

So with the inauguration behind us, I would like to point out a couple of things. I have heard several people bash on democrats, calling us selfish and entitled. I heard people say how we are babies and couldn’t take the results of the election. I totally understand how easy it is to sum up an entire group based on a handful of people. But as I sit here I want to remind you that I am a democrat. No, I am not happy with the presidency, but I have been pretty peaceful about it. So I decided to write something to explain that not all democrats are the same.

Over the years I was raised in a republican house. I believe in what I do now because I have done my own research, and decided which party best fits my beliefs. I have heard several people claim how democrats are lazy, just want handouts, are crybabies, and several other mean things. I want to take a stand, and remind people that I am a democrat, so does that mean you are calling me these things? I have worked two jobs and gone to school, moved out on my own, and admitted that I do need a little help sometimes. Am I asking for handouts? No. I work as hard as I can to try my best and support myself.

All through this election process I was a little sad about Trump becoming president, but did you ever see me try to be violent or rude to anyone who supported him? That is right, the answer is no. Not all democrats are the way that some people paint us. We fight for what is important to us, and we refuse to be silenced. The people who are violent go a little extreme, so don’t try and confuse us with all of them.

I was told all inauguration day how people didn’t protest when Obama got into office, but I have seen several video footage and news articles that could say otherwise. I have been told that democrats need to shut up and respect the president when I know some republicans who questioned where Obama was from, called him racial slurs and refused to acknowledge him as their president. I also know more democrats than not who are peaceful about Trump’s presidency, but they do want their thoughts and concerns heard. Personally, I will respect Donald Trump as my president. However, I do promise to fight for what I believe in and to let my voice be heard.

So to be clear, not all democrats are violently rioting and cussing Trump out. I am sitting here peacefully, speaking my mind, all while respecting who is in office. I am proud to be a democrat, no matter what. I refuse to let anyone take away my beliefs. But at the end of the day, whether we are democrat or republican, we are Americans. Our main goal should be the wellbeing of our country.

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me
Liz Abere

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"

Ancient Roman Kings: 7 Leaders of Early Rome

The names and dates of the reigns of the first four kings, as well as the alternation of Sabin and Latin names, are more legendary than historical. The last three kings, of Etruscan origin, have an existence which seems less uncertain.

It is evident that all this is only a legend although archeology shows us little by little that these kings if they did not exist as the ancient history, describes them, have at least in the very Outlines were real as chief of a shepherd’s tribe. The period when kings ruled Rome could estimate at 245 years.
