The sun has finally come out to grace us with its presence. I could’ve gone for one more good snow, but I’m coming to grips with reality. So, yes, the sun is out and it's March. Hello, spring break 2016! Whether you are going on a cruise, to the beach or lake, or laying low at home hoping for some sun time, here is what I want you to remember and realize: No one freakin' cares what your body looks like!
It was early February when people started talking about bikini bodies. Here is the ultimate “how to” on bikini bodies: have a body, and put on a bikini, tankini, one piece. I don’t care (and neither does anyone else). Should everyone wear a string bikini? Actually, no one should because no one wants to see that except the perverted losers. Also, not everyone needs to flaunt whatever their mama gave them, because there is this thing currently in style called modesty. I personally don’t want to be gagging because all I can see is your boobs hanging out. No, thank you!
On the other side, if you don’t feel comfortable wearing “it,” then don’t. Why would you spend money on something you think is not the most fabulous thing ever? Not everyone has to wear a bikini or something skimpy. You are not more attractive or cool based on what swimsuit you wear, and even if you were, you shouldn’t care. I have an athletic body, but that does not depict what I wear. Modest is hottest, so I have no problem wearing a cute one piece or a modest two piece. I love retro swimsuits so one-pieces and more modest two pieces are a million times cuter, in my opinion. I wear what I want to. Isn’t that a great concept?
Oh, look -- it's a modest suit and she is actually having fun! Craziness.
If you're wearing things you don't feel comfortable wearing, who are you doing it for? If it’s a guy, he’s not worth it. If it your friends, they're too worried about their own bodies to truly give any attention to yours. If it's for the sake of the pictures, the picture will tell whether you feel confident or not. So if you feel good in what you have on, the picture will be great, bikini, tankini, monokini, any other kind of 'kini.
Do not ever do something that is 100 percent for someone else. Society tends to spout off a bunch of crap, so don’t listen to them. You do you, boo! If you don’t feel comfortable putting on a bathing suit, then don’t. Chances are you are not going in the water either, and the next time you walk to class your tan-lines will be janky anyways. And if you want a hamburger, then eat a dang hamburger and don't give a second thought about how it looks like you ate, because you did eat, like a normal person.
Be real with yourself. In your right mind, you don’t want unwanted attention. You are not going to care what your friends wear and they won’t care what you are wearing. There is no such thing as a great or perfect bikini body because everybody is flawed; even Victoria’s Secret models don’t possess perfect bodies. It’s solely about what you want to do for YOU and for absolutely no other reason. Not friends, a romantic interest, or society. Get it? Good! Now, shut up and live ya' life!
