We're closing in on the grand finale of the year of our Lord, two thousand and fifteen, and the thoughts of thousands are echoing over the world: "Where oh where is Nickelback today?"
Once a Canadian heartthrob band, cheered on by millions of preteens and middle-aged dads alike, now presumably lost off the face of the world. Nostalgia waves over and you're taken back to a long-forgotten land of awkward preteen dancing to the likes of Nickelback and other Canadian hits like Avril Lavigne and Justin Beiber. As you delve into the mindless depths of their official Facebook fan page, you get a hint as to what they've been up to for the past few years since you've gotten rid of your Nickelback shrine.
Let's take a look into the past as we contemplate the whereabouts of this wild group.
Chad Kroeger
The lead guitarist to this Canadian heartthrob band seems to be in the middle of the madness. Often seen at the forefront of the stage and singing at the top of his lungs in their heart-wrenching music videos, he is surely the life of this group. Some claim that his luscious golden locks resemble the favorite food of college students all over, a ramen masterpiece. Some even say that if you show a room of college students a picture of Chad Kroeger the rumble of their collective stomachs will be loud enough to drown out the awkward soft-rock twang of Rockstar, one of their more jaunty tunes.
Ryan Peake
Another guitarist for Nickelback, the stud Ryan Peake can often be found taking long walks on the beach. He enjoys walking, talking, AND playing guitar. Peake is known as the #8 Pisces guitarist and #5279 most famous person. Needless to say, he is certainly is a wild addition to this dynamic Canadian mix.
Mike Kroeger
Brother to none other than our ramen-haired Chad, Mike Kroeger seems to be the glue that holds this group together. This bass guitarist can always be seen backing up his pals on stage with a large smile pasted across his beaming face. If all goes wrong, no fear for Mike brings that ever-lasting cheer!
Daniel Adair
We've made our way to the back of the stage where Daniel Adair is gallantly rocking out on his drumset. This seemingly dark and mysterious drummer definitely brings a sense of style to these Canadian men. With tattoos on his arms and an above-average goatee reigning over his chin, he is integral to the aesthetic of Nickelback.
Resurfacing into the land of 2015, it's a tough task determining the longitude and latitude of our fave Canadian band. However, it's no secret that they are forever and always in the hearts of all in this rockin' world. Pining for the days where Nickelback hammered through the headphones of 2009, we can all agree that this post-grunge band has a lot going for them...especially when Chad allegedly checks into hotels as Harry Houdini. So, when you do wish to declare your love for Nickelback to the world, here's a tutorial. Stay rad and rock on.
