This past week, the Twitter account of the National Football League was hacked. This however was exciting for many fans and specifically fans of the New England Patriots. These fans got excited when they saw the tweet from the account that said "rest in peace NFL commissioner Roger Godell has passed away at age 57". This however was a mistake which many fans thought was not at first. Many people understand the hatred between the Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Godell. The NFL has currently not found the person who has hacked the account yet.
Brady and Godell's history goes back to the 2015 AFC championship game against the Indianappolis Colts. Following this game in particular, Godell accused Brady of deflating the footballs. It was announced that, on May 11th, 2015, Brady would be suspended for four games. Godell's defense for making the decision was that he must protect the integrity of the game. However, Brady did go to court and Godell's suspension was overturned by judge Richard M. Berman. Fans were excited over this news however on April 25th, 2016 the second U.S circuit court appealed him and his four game suspension was reinstated.
