I've been feeling particularly uncreative this week, so I decided to try something a little different. Instead of starting with a blank page, I sifted through newspapers with a pen, blacking out all the words I didn't need. I've saw this done before in the book "Newspaper Blackout" by Austin Kleon, and wanted to try it for myself. What I discovered is that creation through reduction is entirely different from creation through expansion. You must work with what you're given and nothing more. Quite literally reading in between the lines.
