Well, it's official. Summer is over, and it's time to begin a new year. Whether this is your first semester in college, or your last, these are things that we have all felt when starting a new semester, as told by some of our favorite "Grey's Anatomy" characters.
1. When the PowerPoint slides go from "Syllabus" to "Chapter One."
Why? Just, why? It's too soon.
2. When *that* student won't stop asking questions and drags the class out to the last second.
Seriously though, the lecture was over an hour ago.
3. When your professor assigns homework due during the next class.
What did I ever do to you?
4. When your professor says there will not be any extra credit opportunities.
Well, time to drop out.
5. When participation is a big part of your grade.
Please, no. Anything but this.
6. When you don't come to class prepared and the professor calls on you.
Please don't call on me, please don't call on me...
7. When your professor makes a joke that isn't funny, but you're trying to get on his/her good side.
That was the funniest thing I have ever heard! Now can I have an A?
8. When the class is over and you still have no idea what it was about.
At least you're not the only one.
9. When class is over early, but the professor says, "Expect to be here the full time next class."
Yeah, cool, bye.
10. When you're not even through the first week and you're already failing.
How did this even happen?
11. When you have to introduce yourself to the class.
Why are you torturing me?
12. When somebody asks you how the semester is going.
This is actually how your entire college career is going to be, fyi.
13. When you're told to pick a partner/group to work with for the entire semester.
The ultimate horror.
14. When you have to give yourself a pep-talk, because you don't know how you're going to make it through the semester.
I've totally got this!
15. When you actually do something well, and you're trying not to brag about it.
I'm fabulous, but I'm going to sit here and pretend like it's not a big deal.
16. When somebody says something stupid in class and you're trying to hold yourself back.
Please stop.
17. "I have a no technology policy in my classroom."
Goodbye, outside world.
18. And, finally, when you get a passing grade on an assignment that you thought you failed.
I am unstoppable!
