Have you ever wandered blindly into a new year wondering what you can do to change yourself? Here are seven of the best ideas you can put as your resolution this year! It's never too late to begin!

1. Be more fit.

The #1 Resolution that everyone claims to have is to either lose weight or work out more. Sure, this is a great resolution to have - but you shouldn't focus on that one in particular if there are other things that you want to achieve!

2. Read more books.

Whether you're an avid reader or not, studies have shown that if you read more books that your vocabulary skills increase as the year passes. Increasing the amount of reading that you do every year could potentially increase your vocabulary enough that you can pass that exam that you've been struggling to comprehend.

3. Learn a new language.

Of course, you can't learn an ENTIRE language in one year unless you move to a new area where one is spoken. Even then, it would be difficult to cram the entire language into your mental dictionary. However, beginning to study a new language can also help your vocabulary increase. Who knew?

4. Travel to new places.

I know this one is definitely on MY list of Resolutions. Traveling to new places can help you understand your surroundings better, and you could possibly meet somebody new. A lover, perhaps?

5. Cook more often.

A lot of people don't think about this one, but cooking is found to be relaxing to most people. If you don't enjoy this activity, then this one definitely isn't the Resolution for you.

6. Go shopping less.

If you begin to spend less money and store more of it away, it's possible that you could have enough money to go on that trip you've wanted to go on for the past few years.

7. Take up a new hobby.

Whether it's fishing, crocheting, knitting, singing, or writing - there's a hobby out there for you! Take a few minutes out of your day to find something relaxing and calming that you can do in order to take more stress out of your day. This is one you definitely won't regret.

Whether you decide to look into following any of these Resolutions or come up with your own, it's always a good idea to start thinking about your options before the end of January. Who knows, maybe you'll find a Resolution that fits you in late-December and still complete it before 2020!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
