Now a days, Netflix has been used for binge watching popular TV shows such as New Girl, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Arrow, and many many more options. But for me, I choose to relive my childhood through Netflix. Netflix contains so many movies from our childhood- there are a lot of true classics that I will never get tired of watching. Here are some of the greatest childhood throwbacks on Netflix.
1) Emperors New Groove
This is probably the movie I watched the most of when I was younger. This is a total classic that Netflix has to offer. Now that I am older, I pick up on all of the hilarious quotes throughout the movie. Quotes that would have passed right over you as a child, such as the classic "let me guess, you have a great personality."
2) Hercules
Another amazing movie from our childhoods. Crime fighting demi-God with a Pegasus. Nothing was better than this movie and I continue to watch it to this day. Thank you Netflix. Plus I think we can all relate to the character Meg.
3) El Dorado
This movie was hilarious! As a kid, I never picked up on the wrong doings of the characters such as: gambling, lying, cheating, stealing. These flaws are what made the characters so lovable and hilarious. Plus just look at those faces!
4) An Extremely Goofy Movie
You can't get any more classic than Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy- they make A Goofy Movie such a classic, as it follows the life of Goofy and his son Max. Plus a characters get all too real about the white gloves!
5) Robin Hood
"Robin Hood and Little John running through the forest, laughing back and forth at what the other has to say." I still get this song stuck in my head. With all of the new Robin Hood movies, the Disney cartoon original is still my favorite version (I mean- it is the original).
6) Lilo And Stich
I have always loved this movie because it was so different then the other movies. Lilo was a hilarious character because she was so different; like when she performs voodoo on her "friends." That scene gets funnier every time you watch it! ("My friends need to be punished."- Lilo).
7) Tarzan
"But what about bacteria?" I couldn't get enough of this movie, maybe because of my love of jungle animals? Or maybe because I just couldn't get over how cute the little elephant was! Too adorable!
8) Chicken Run
Not going to lie this was one of those movie that scared me as a child. Who knew that a claymation could be so creepy! I think I stopped eating chicken for a while after watching this film.
9) Mulan
Not many Disney princess movies are shown on Netflix, but I'm glad Mulan is the one they feature. This movie is a great Disney princess film, but is also one that makes you laugh. Eddie Murphy's character as Mu-Shu makes your stomach hurt with laugher!
10) Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
If you were a Nickelodeon fan, then you were probably familiar with the TV show Jimmy Neutron. This was a great show and an even better movie! Even after years of not watching it, I still remembered quotes from this film.
I hope that Netflix continues to add movies that brings us back to our childhoods. You can never grow tired of these movies, and I am thankful for them. These animated films always bring a smile to my face. Let's binge watch the good old classics for a change instead of a new TV show!
