My Top 10 Natural Hair Products

In This Article:

Maintaining my hair is a lot of work, which means lots of products.

Currently, I am moving back to campus for my final year of undergrad and I am making a note of all the products I need. Being the organized person I am, I enjoy preparing everything I need ahead of time. During this process, I thought I should share my favorite natural hair products. Here are ten of my current favorite natural hair products.

1. OGX Extra Strength Refreshing Scalp & Tea tree Mint Shampoo

https://www.target.com/p/ogx-extra-strength-refreshing-scalp-tea-tree-mint-shampoo-13-fl-oz/-/A-52663527

This product is perfect for cleansing your scalp and promoting growth. This product is essential to have because most shampoos provide moisture and leave buildup in the scalp. This shampoo makes my hair feel so refreshed and clean, without leaving white particles on my scalp. I recommend using a cleansing shampoo once a week and then a moisturizing shampoo twice a week.

3. Eco Style Gel Black Castor Oil & Flaxseed Oil

https://www.amazon.com/Eco-Style-Black-Castor-Flaxseed/dp/B06XF8LB8L/ref=asc_df_B06XF8LB8L/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312194244380&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4160406783411312006&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9006881&hvtargid=aud-799727667774%3Apla-332703459985&th=1

Eco Style Gel has always been a favorite of mine for my hair. I have tried many gels and they have never been able to hold my 3C-4A type hair. Eco Style has a natural hold on my hair and this gel provides moisture and promotes hair growth.

4. Aunt Jackie's Curl La La Defining Curl Custard

https://www.target.com/p/aunt-jackie-s-curl-la-la-defining-curl-custard-15oz/-/A-52494531

I like to use this curl custard after I apply my leave-in conditioner of choice and my hair will remain moisturized and soft until I decide to style it again.

5. Artnaturals Argan Leave-In Conditioner

This leave-in conditioner smells so good, I like this leave-in because it is lightweight and provides enough moisture for when I style my hair.

6. SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment

https://www.sheamoisture.com/manuka-honey-and-yogurt-hydrate-repair-protein-strong-treatment-8oz/764302231479.html

This deep conditioner is great for building hair strength. My hair needs protein and moisture so I like to switch between strength/repair conditioners and moisturizing conditioners.

7. Cantu Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream

https://www.target.com/p/cantu-leave-in-conditioning-repair-cream-16oz/-/A-13044151

This is also another favorite leave-in conditioner of mine because it is affordable and provides moisture, making my hair soft and happy.

9.  The Mane Choice Manetabolism Plus Healthy Hair Vitamins

https://www.target.com/p/the-mane-choice-manetabolism-plus-healthy-hair-vitamins-60ct/-/A-50767318

I am currently using the Mane Choice vitamins and I am really enjoying them. They are a multivitamin so, it's not just for hair but for your body as well. If you are looking to have hair growth, more energy, or vitamins in general, look into multivitamins that best suit you.

10. Cream of Nature Pure Honey Moisture Replenish & Strengthening Hair Mask

https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/textured-hair/wavy-hair/moisture-replenish-and-strengthening-mask/SBS-105922.html

Deep conditioners do not have to be expensive in order to be effective. This hair mask leaves my hair feeling soft and stronger after I use it. I use a hair mask or deep conditioner once a week which is helping restore and define my curls as well. I definitely recommend this hair mask to anyone looking for a deep conditioner that works and within their budget.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
