If you’re like me, you’re more of a TV-Show person. Movies aren’t really my thing, but I have seen my share of good movies. So even though I might not required to write this list, I still know what movies should be watched and what ones aren’t the best. Well in my opinion anyway…

SO! Here are 10 movies you shouldn't miss out on.

1. "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" (1993)

Starting off strong! Now, Mel Gibson is the King of all Kings when it comes to a great Satire/ Comedy film. I suggest ANY Mel Gibson movie, but this one to me takes the maiden. The movie has everything! Action between our hero Robin of Loxley played by the amazing and extremely attractive, Cary Elwes (Who you might know from "Princess Bride" and "Hot Shots!"), and the Sheriff of Rottingham played by Roger Rees (2006’s "The Pink Panther"). For you romantic lovers out there, it features a love triangle between both Robin, the Sheriff and the lovely lady lead, Maid Marian played by Amy Yasbeck ("Wings and Dracula: Dead and Loving It"). The classic heroic satire is complete with song, dance and tights. Could a film get any better?

2."Mean Girls" (2004)

Should I say more? This movie is a complete classic. Quotable and sassy, this film is amazing! I know most have already seen this one, but I wanted to get it out of the way now. If you haven’t where have you been? It’s 2016, this movie has been out for 12 years guys! We’ve been blessed with the “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” line for 12 years! Isn’t that insane?!

3. "Monster-in-Law" (2005)

This movie starring Jennifer Lopez is so cute in my opinion. Classic poor girl meets rich boy, they fall in love story. Except the twist is that the groom-to-be’s mother isn’t very fond of the bride. Jenny from the Block plays hardball with the talented Jane Fonda ( Klute and The Butler) in this film revealing the true “monsters” during weddings.

4."The Mighty Ducks" (1992)

This great underdog film features a sport I’m not very familiar with: Hockey. I may not know much about hockey, but nothing makes me feel more empowered than a good underdog film. Emilio Estevez ("The Breakfast Club" and "The Outsiders"), plays a lawyer who is sentenced to coach a peewee hockey team after a drunk driving incident. This film highlights comradery and hardships that come with sports teams along with the perfect example about facing your fears and making dreams come true.

5."Deadpool" (2016)

This movie is great. No more words. Ryan Reynold’s redemption from "Green Lantern" truly shows in his perfect portal of Deadpool. Not only do I appreciate his twisted sense of humor ( I truly think Ryan Reynold’s is like this in real life. Have you seen his tweets?), but just picture a world where you were given the power to heal any harm done to you? Dude cuts off his hand, like seriously?!

6."Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981)

Again, another classic. The first of the five film series, with a rumored sixth in 2019, features Ford barely escaping death multiple times to collect artifacts for the government. If the theme song isn’t already playing in your head right now, please go watch all the movies again!

7. "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994)

Tim Robbins ("Bull Durham" and "War of the Worlds") and Morgan Freeman star as two prisoners in this crime classic. Robbins’ character is found guilty of a crime he was wrongly accused of and sent off to prison Shawshank where he meet and befriends Freeman’s character. This movie depicts a great friendship along with the harshness and reality of prison.

8. "Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2" (2003, 2004)

These movies are just the definition of badass! Nothing is scarier than a woman on a vengance and add a sword into the mix and there is bound to be trouble. Uma Thurman ( "Pulp Fiction" and "Batman & Robin") plays the once deadly assassin, who out of vengeance for her new lover and her murdered child, seeks out revenge against her ex lover, Bill, and her old group of assassins. This movie is the perfect example of petty with a purpose and I love it!

9. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" (2014)

Taron Egerton shows us a sexy side of spy work in this action packed film. I’ve always loved the idea of being a spy but this movie just makes it look too badass. If I had the expertise that Egerton’s character has in this film, I wouldn’t have to be asked twice to sign up for the secret service. The action packed film feature big names like Samuel Jackson ("Pulp Fiction" and "Django Unchaine") and Colin Firth ("The Bridget Jones Diaries" and "Love Actually") who stand on either side of the evil to good spectrum, making for an interesting and funny film.

10. "Romeo + Juliet" (1996)

Based off my favorite and a classic Shakespeare play, Romeo + Juliet featuring a young Leo Dicaprio and Claire Danes. This movie will forever break my heart and make me the happiest person on earth. I’m not a huge fan of sappy movies, but the fact that it mixes two of my favorite things: plays and Leonardo Dicaprio, gives it the whole cake. Not a piece of it, the whole cake. This is a movie I can watch over and over again and it will make me cry every time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
