My Ten Favorite YouTubers

For lack of interesting article ideas, today I will be treating you to a list of my ten favorite YouTubers. I don’t have a TV set up in my room and there’s not much cable television that I watch regularly anyway. So in place of that I watch YouTube. I will also leave a link to a favorite video from that YouTuber that you can enjoy.

10. Markiplier

Markiplier or Mark Fischbach, is a gamer and most of you probably know him. He’s probably only second to PewDiePie as the most popular gamer on YouTube. He is known as the King of Five Nights At Freddy’s, and mostly plays PC games. Not only is he funny, but has a giant heart and was one of the first YouTubers to use his popularity for a good cause- charity. He hosts charity live streams where all proceeds go to a charity of Mark’s choosing.

Here Mark attempts to play Surgeon Simulator while running on a treadmill.

9. The Try Guys

A popular BuzzFeed segment consisting of four guys: Eugene, Keith, Ned, and Zach. And the show is exactly what it sounds like. These four guys try things that most people in general wouldn’t try, however most are things that other men wouldn’t try. They’ve tried drag, wedding dresses, naked sushi, and pregnancy. If you want a few laughs, gain some knowledge, and to expand your horizons without trying anything yourself, The Try Guys will be there.

In this video, The Try Guys try breaking into a house, Santa Claus style.

8. MyHarto

A channel run by the lovely Hannah Hart, more popularly known for her show, My Drunk Kitchen where she and her guests get drunk and cook something. More often than not, Hannah tries to incorporate a life lesson or saying as a theme to what she is cooking. She’s also known for being close friends with Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart, two other YouTubers. All three have written books and have made three movies together now; Camp Takota, Dirty Thirty, and the soon to be released, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.

Watch the trio of friends make fritters while drinking.

7. Des&Nate

Ever go through a scene phase during middle school? Well the best bud duo of Destery Smith aka CapnDesDes, and Nathan Owens aka ahoynateo, never came out of theirs. Despite the "emo" hairstyles that still haunt your dreams, Destery and Nate keep rocking that scene look well after its time while complaining about everyday things, like Walmart in a segment of theirs called IDEK (I Don’t Even Know). Destery is also a singer and made his first album, Sailing Home in 2015. If you like Owl City, you might check out his album.

Watch these best friends do each other’s makeup, blindfolded.

6. Mitchell Davis

Mitchell is the first vlogger I watched on YouTube. In his earlier stuff he is accompanied by his friend Kyle, but is now close friends with Grace Helbig. He creates his own personalities for comedy shorts and did many with Kyle. Despite being on YouTube for about 7 years, he has a substantially small following. I always enjoy watching his videos because he has so much positive energy.

Watch Mitchell tell a story about a bird.

5. Mr. Sark

Mr. Sark, or Scott Robinson. has been in the gaming business most of his life. He used to work on X-Play, a TV show that ran on G4TV. Later he joined a YouTube show, Machinima Respawn, as a host and manager. After quitting Respawn in 2013, he has since been focused on his personal channel where he plays multi-player games like GTA and Garry’s Mod.

Here Sark and a fellow gamer, Seananners, play the classy game, Tea Party Simulator.

4. danisnotonfire

Dan Howell is a vlogger from England, who is the embodiment of anxiousness and stress trapped in a young adult’s body. He’s usually accompanied by his best friend Phil aka AmazingPhil. They have written a book together and are currently on tour in the US. They also have a joint channel where they play PC games.

Dan gives you tips on how to stay cool. Or not.

3. Seananners

Previously mentioned and seen with Mr. Sark, Seananners, or Adam Montoya, is a PC gamer known for his cheating antics in Garry’s Mod. He mostly plays with a close group of friends, including Mr. Sark. He usually puts out short 3 minute videos, but has recently made them longer into 10 minute videos.

Watch Seananners cheat his way to victory.

2. Matt Bellassai

Matt works for BuzzFeed and has a weekly show, called Whine About It. Every Wednesday he proceeds to get drunk on wine, or the alcohol of his choice, and whine about a certain topic. It’s put out in seasons, so they are currently on a break.; but Matt’s anger and bitterness towards common everyday things is something that is relatable and funny.

For the people who hate pants, this one’s for you.

1. Game Grumps

I know at this point you’re probably sick of gamers but Game Grumps are by far, my ultimate favorite YouTubers. Game Grumps usually refers to the two main hosts, Arin Hanson and Daniel (or Dan) Avidan. The original hosts were Arin and Jon Jafari. Jon left in 2012 and Dan took his spot as co-host as the Not-So-Grump. However the Game Grumps also include, Suzy Berhow, Barry Kramer, Ross O’Donavan, Kevin Abernathy, and Brian Wecht. Barry and Kevin act as hosts and editors for the show. They have many other shows they do besides Game Grumps including, Table Flip, Grumpcade, Steam Train, and Steam Rolled. Arin, Dan, and Brian make up, Starbomb which is a gaming parody band. While Dan and Brian have their own parody band, Ninja Sex Party. They’ve gained a massive audience of over 3 million in roughly 4 years.

One of their most popular series is that of Sonic Boom.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
