I would just like to say how much a love my roommate. She is not only my roommate, but she is my best friend. When I first started college she was one of the first people I met and we just stumbled upon each other. Throughout our freshman year we got super close and found that out of the big group we hung out with, we had the most in common with each other.
Sydney has helped me through more than I think she knows. We do everything together and more times than not it feels like we are the only friends that we have and that doesn't bother us one bit! The rough patches where I thought I had no one to talk to or turn to, she was there. When something amazing happened in my life, she was there. Had a weird craving for ice cream when it was -30 degrees outside, she was there. We don't have a split room. There is no 'her side' and 'my side'. We go half on everything from an x-box controller, to a printer cable, to groceries for the room. We work well together. She is my roommate. She is my best friend.
I feel very respected and appreciated. When her boyfriend, Robbie, wants to come over they will ask me first if I am okay with that. If he wanted to spend the night I am asked before the plans are made final. They invite me out to dinner with them and to the mall when they want a day out. I am even offered a group hug when they stand in the middle of the room hugging. I feel so included and respected and I can not tell you enough how good and respected that makes me feel. Robbie even offered to get me a flower for Valentines Day. My reply to that offer was that I would feel both loved and pathetic that my roommate's boyfriend is the one to get me something for Valentines Day.
Overall, what I really want to say is that I really could not ask for a better person to come into my life. I feel included with her, her family, and her boyfriend. Thank you, Sydney for being such an amazing person. Thank you for everything you helped me through. Thank you for making the bad times good and the good times great.
