My Personal Dream Boy Checklist

I decided to develop some better standards when it comes to guys, so here we go.

505
My Personal Dream Boy Checklist

The qualities are not listed in any order and this is MY checklist. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with my list. Everyone has their own idealized wishes.

1. Attractiveness

DON'T HATE ME, OKAY? Attractiveness is not the most important thing, but I still place a little bit of importance on it.

2. Taller than me

Sticking with the somewhat shallow qualities, I prefer when a guy is taller than me. I just like big, warm hugs. It's comforting.

3. Sense of humor

I like a guy that can make me smile.

4. Physically affectionate

I describe myself as a very "cuddly" person. I LOVE hugs, kisses, and cuddles.

5. Patience

I'm kind of stupid sometimes, so it is very helpful when a guy is patient with me. I have some issues to work through, so they need to be understanding about that.

6. Nice/pretty eyes

I want eyes that I could get lost in.

7. In shape

Someone that works out sometimes, not a huge, steroid-taking bodybuilder.

8. Career/Job that I can relate to

Now, they don't need to have a big, fancy salary or anything. I just want to be able to understand them when they talk about work. I want to be able to relate to them in that way.

9. Same "big issue" stances

We don't need to agree on everything, but we do need to agree on big issue things.

10. Motivated in life

I would go crazy if my significant other just sat around, unmotivated, every day. I need someone that wants something out of life. Someone inspired.

11. Optimistic

I don't want someone that is blindly optimistic, but just someone that can help me see the good in the world.

12. Gentle

6. Be gentle with yourself. Giphy

I suffer from a bit of PTSD, so I need a man that can be gentle with me.

13. Good with kids

I don't feel the need to biologically have children, but I definitely want to adopt/foster children. I need a man that won't be the dad that my father was.

14. Dog lover

This isn't a requirement, but I have always planned to have dogs in my home.

That concludes my dream boy checklist. Now, if I follow this list, maybe I won't have so many terrible ex boyfriends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
