My thoughts on my experience

My first time experience on a Greyhound bus

Its a Thursday morning when I wake up at 5 am to leave my house at 5:30 am. You may ask yourself where am I going at this point in the morning during my summer vacation. I am on my way to take my first greyhound bus ride of my life at the age of 19. On the ride up to the bus station, looking out at the scenery I cant help but be both excited and nervous for my trip. When we get to the bus station, I check in my bag and get the luggage tag for it. We sit there and wait and wait and wait. We all start to line up as it gets closer to boarding time. Yet they dont board us, 5 minutes before we are suppose to depart the station, mind you still not boarded yet, they tell us that they have to change out the bus because the mirror is about to fall off. Like the bus has been sitting there for a while and you just now need to go get it replaced. So well we wait for that bus to come, the nervousness kicks in because I want to get going on my travels. When we finally board the bus 45 minutes after we were supposed to leave, I sit down in my seat, and connect to the wifi. Trying to get Pandora to work but it doesnt seem to, so I am stuck with my same 25 songs on my phone that I have listened to many times now and believe i listened to them each like 3 or 4 times while on the bus. As we drive I keep checking the map that tells us where we are, wanting to know how close we are. When I finally reach my destination sight, I take a deep breath and realize all my stress before hand was for nothing, I made it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
