My First SoulCycle Experience

No, it was not as easy as riding a bike.

SoulCycle seemed to become the hot new trend overnight. All of a sudden, people couldn't seem to stop talking about these cycling classes. When I first heard of SoulCycle, I had honestly thought spending 30+ dollars to ride a stationary bike was ridiculous and stupid. Why pay all of that money when there were plenty of bikes at the gym I was already paying for? Well, the other day I finally tried my first SoulCycle class, and it was anything but ridiculous or stupid.

You know that saying "It's like riding a bike?" Well, whoever originally said that must not have been talking about a SoulCycle bike because it was hard. I got my ass kicked by a bike that didn't even actually move, and I definitely hadn't expected to. I didn't think that the class would be as difficult as it was, and I didn't think I would actually enjoy myself.

A SoulCycle class is 45 minutes of pure cycling. No breaks, just cycling. The music is loud and upbeat and the people in your class are pushing themselves to their full potential. Being in that loud, dark studio allows you to focus in on what you want to improve about yourself and how you want to feel after a workout session. At SoulCycle, they definitely make you feel like you're at home and that you're working to improve yourself.

I can't begin to tell you just how much I sweat in that class, but I know all of that sweat was more than worth it. After taking my first SoulCycle class, I felt strong and empowered and that anything was possible. I felt willing to take the first steps towards living a happier, healthier life.

So, if you have the chance to take a SoulCycle class, I would take it because you don't know when the next opportunity will come around. SoulCycle's mission is all about positivity and good vibes. It's about spreading a positive message and doing something that's very good for your body.

If you find yourself at a SoulCycle class or have the opportunity to take one, then I would highly recommend taking it because as difficult as it is, it really does feel so amazing to do something that pushes your body's limits. Try a class, or push yourself in other ways, because the way you feel in the end is worth all of the sweat you put into the class.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
