What it's like to experience Comic Con for the first time

This past weekend I was able to travel back home with some of my close friends in order to attend my towns first ever Comic Con. We all stayed at my close friend Sammie's house where we spent the night and helped each other get ready the next morning. Our group had a number of characters we were dressing up as. We had Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, 2 Black Canaries, Catwoman, the Riddler, a fairy, Wonder Woman, a kitten, a Star Wars themed Poison Ivy, and the normal evil Poison Ivy. The con was held at our local Civic Center and it was said to have had over 1700 people attend. My group arrived right as the con opened and we got to meet so many other con lovers. Between buying collectors items, to taking pictures with random strangers; you could say we had a blast. Part of our group even made it into the local newspaper. The con was so successful the town is planning to have another in July. Below are just some of the pictures we took.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
