Retail therapy is the best way to avoid your problems!

No, I swear! Even something as simple as a new lipgloss or belt can make you feel instantly better after a bad day, or in my case, bad month. I shop so much that my computer automatically knows which stores I love most. My bank account never appreciates my shopping sprees but my spirits and my closet do! Here is a list of the stores that I always turn to after a bad week.

1. Forever 21

Okay, first of all, if you've ever set foot in a Forever 21 store you know that it is an expansive smorgasbord of the most trendy clothes on the planet. I think I've been shopping there since I was about fifteen. I love that there is enough color to find a cute springy sundress but also that whenever I want to buy ANOTHER black-and-white-anything, it's sitting there waiting for me. There is a certain bit of variety in the styles you can find on there, but they specialize in the trendy young adult. I feel like everyone who works at Forever 21 is a model on the side. My favorite thing about this store, though, is that you get cute clothes at prices that are actually reasonable: there are leggings for under five dollars on there. Cheap AND cute? Sign me up!

2. Old Navy

I know everyone talks badly about Old Navy, but they have anything and everything you could want as far as apparel is concerned. Some of my favorite shoes have come from Old Navy. Not to mention, I would say the quality of Old Navy products is pretty good for the prices. There are things I got from Old Navy in elementary and middle school that I still have. The fact that at different times of the year they sell their jeans for $15 makes me very happy as well.

3. Express

I like Express because you can get some very professional, polished looks from there as well as the perfect party dress. The clothes at Express are a bit overpriced, I will admit. However, they are always cute and they do have some pretty great sales if you're willing to wait on them. I have gotten some worthwhile pieces from Express over the years and the people who work in there are always very kind. So if you're looking to splurge just a tad, hit up Express!

4. New York & Company

If you're looking for a place to buy your business casual and professional clothes that you didn't know you needed until now, look no further! NY&C specializes in polished office looks but they are much more than just that. They have jeans, shoes, accessories and even workout clothes. They also tend to play some pretty good music in New York & Company and that always helps in the shopping experience!

5. Hot Topic

Okay, don't cringe TOO hard. I know everyone shopped there during their thirteen-year-old emo phase. And, to be honest, so did I. But, I still shop there because I love bands and music and that's where I get most of my band tees. They also sell other cute pop culture things that you can't really get in many other major stores. And while it may be cringy, I totally still shop there! They also do free shipping if you ship to a store so it's definitely worth it. To make it even cooler, they actually sell vinyl in Hot Topic so it's definitely worth walking in.

I sincerely hope you shop at, or at least consider visiting the websites of, these stores. There also some other stores I would recommend to you, including American Eagle and Target. I love shopping! And I think that if I am able to find useful pieces at these stores, you will too!

Also, my favorite stores carry certainly carry more than sizes 1, 3, and 5, otherwise I couldn't shop there, and are open to any and everyone.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
