I have never gone shopping on this ridiculous day. Why would I stand in lines, get shoved by people, and shop instead of doing what I should be doing, spending time with my family? It never really occurred to me why people really thought the long strenuous hours were worth it. This year, not only did I shop on Friday, I also shopped Thursday night. Here is what I learned from my experience….
1. Buy one get one free is a much more popular discount this time of year (I got an amazing deal at BCBG)
2. Do not carry a big purse, it will get scratched, and pummeled.
3. If you really want the new iPhone, just order it online and save yourself. Apple is the worst store to go in on these days.
4. Do not bring your kids, especially on a leash. They will get tangled up, yes I’ve seen this……
5. Always plan on an extra 20 minutes just to find a spot in the parking lot.
All in all, it was definitely something everyone should do once to know how much chaos is involved. I did get some good deals, even in higher end stores, but from now on, I think I'll stick to my online holiday shopping.
