The arrival of 2016, for me, has involved a great deal of reflection of the good and bad happenings of 2015. While reflecting on the good has involved heaps of reminiscing, reflecting on the bad has involved setting new goals for 2016. In 2015, I have made my mistakes and have learned from them. In 2016, I hope that I will have learned from my previous mistakes and make new ones.
Some of my resolutions are things that I set yearly; such as, going to the gym more frequently, eating healthier, being more outgoing in social events, and things like that. These things I have to set yearly because they are things that I want to do but it doesn't mean as much to me as other things. For 2016, I plan on making some resolutions that REALLY mean something. I plan on changing little things.
Resolution 1
I want to tell my friends and family how much they mean to me more often because you never know what day will be your last.
Resolution 2
Dedicate more time to my studies. While the relationships that I have made during college mean a lot to me, I am there for one reason. A degree.
Resolution 3
I have to stop cancelling plans just because I am tired. As long as I get seven hours of sleep, I have no reason to cancel just because I want to lay in bed and watch Friends.
Resolution 4
Get an internship because your resume can always use a little something extra.
Resolution 5
Stop being so up-tight about things I can't control. Life is going to happen and there will be mistakes on the way. Being up-tight doesn't mean you won't make mistakes it just means you won't have fun on the way.
Here are the resolutions that I am making for myself for the 2016 year. These five resolutions are the ones that I plan on keeping but if I also go to the gym more and eat healthier, that wouldn't be so bad.
