I loved listening to and reading Dr. Seuss growing up. His stories are funny, cute and playful. I marveled at the eye-catching colorful and whimsical illustrations. I still enjoy reading Dr. Seuss with my younger sister. I love reading Dr. Seuss for two main reasons: I admire his creative and lively rhythmic writing, and I appreciate his inspirational quotes. I compiled a list of my 10 favorite Dr. Seuss quotes. I think that if we consider and take to heart their message, we can be a better person to ourselves and others.
1. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
This rhyme gets us motivated to make our world a better place. If we care, we will work hard to get things done. If we care, we will inspire other people to do the same.
2. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
We are born to stand out in our own special way. We each have our own ideas, beliefs, and ways of doing things. We don’t always need to try to blend in with everyone else.
3. “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”
“What the brain can dream up, the body can fulfill as long as there is a strong determination and a clear vision of what it is that is wanted.” We may have plenty of choices, but it is all up to us to decide which path we will take.

No one else is exactly like you, so be happy to be you. Be nice and be wonderful to yourself. “There isn’t any way to be anyone else, but if there are things about yourself that you don’t really like, you can make changes to improve yourself and get to a point where you can agree with the quote above.”

Many of us are fortunate to be able to learn pretty much anything we want to know--but only if we know how to learn. Instead of filling our head with things we don’t really need to know, it’s better to have the skill to be able to obtain information that we need. We should all appreciate our own privilege to learn.

Our voice matters. Our voice can make a difference. But only if we use it and make it heard. It is important that we express our opinions, just as it is for others to do the same.

No one is more you than you. :D No one else can think for you or accomplish your goals for you. No one else can experience happiness for you. Only you can live the life you want to live.

Today is your day; everyday is your day. Everyday is your day to work towards your goals. It’s only up to you to determine what your mountain is. And this mountain will represent a big goal in your life that it going to take strength, perseverance, and a positive attitude to achieve.

Everyone deserves the same respect. It doesn’t matter on their size, background, the way they look, or where they are from. We are all people no matter what.
