Must See Christmas Trees

My favorite thing about Christmas every year is looking at all of the amazing tree displays around the world. It makes me so happy to see other people are as crazy about Christmas as I am—even though I wouldn't stand out in the cold to put a billion lights on the tree, or decorate a 280 foot-high tree. I love the Christmas spirit so much, and started researching the best Christmas trees this holiday season. Here are the top ten Christmas tress that I found searching the internet for 2015.

10. London, St. Pancras Station, U.K.

This amazingly tall tree is said to be made from plastic lego bricks. The tree was created by Duncan Titchmarsh and stands about 40 feet high. About 600,000 lego bricks were needed to create this tree according to Hello Magazine

9. Berlin, Germany

This Beautiful, Traditional Christmas tree is found to light up Berlin as it stands illuminated next to the Brandenburger Tor Brandenburg gate in Germany.

8. Prague, Czech Republic

This Christmas Tree is found in the center of the Christmas Market known as Old Town Square over their festival where traditional cuisine and handcrafted goods can be purchased.

7. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This almost 280 foot tree made it into the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest tree of its kind. However this tree showcases the world’s largest floating Christmas tree where 3.1 million bulbs flicker to simulate the changes between the four seasons.

6. Ukraine, Eastern Europe

This tree is about 130 feet tall and is actually an eco-friendly tree. It's rainbow colors bring people from all over the globe to see its amazing display.

5. Vilnius, Lithuania

In Lithuania's Town Hall, this amazing tree stands tall. The locals and visitors love to wander the sparkling streets or have a drink in one of many cozy bars and cafes.

4. Washington D.C, United States

The lighting of the Capitol Christmas Tree has been a popular American tradition since 1964 when House Speaker John W. McCormack suggested to J. George Stewart, Architect of the Capitol, that a Christmas tree be placed on the Capitol grounds. Each year thereafter this tree was decorated and a tree-lighting ceremony was held. The giant Christmas tree decorates the grounds every year in Washington D.C. and is a must see.

3. Rome, Italy

Although some may argue that this beautiful city doesn't need a Christmas tree, they don't fall short of creating one of the brightest and prettiest around the world.

2. Paris, France

This beautiful, four-story tree, covered in Swarovski crystals, displays how truly amazing the city of Paris is. It's elegance brings people from around the world to see the fashion capital's stylish Christmas tree.

1. New York City, United States

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
